i usually have a high fibre diet, but for a colonoscopy I have to have a low fibre diet for a few days. If I'm used to having a stomach full of fibre, am I going to get really hungry?

You can still eat fats and oils. Chose ones with no fiber.0

Compared to the joy of laxatives any mild hunger is a first world problem.0

You can also up your protein. That fills you up too.0

That's the bit everyone tells me is bad, but at least I'll know what's happening and why. Compared to diarrhoea or throwing up, when it has no positive element, it sounds ok. When I had a silent miscarriage my body had one last go at flooding my system with hormones and I threw up absolutely everything inside me. I'm hoping it's a little less horrific than that.0 -
Bring a good book, charged up phone/laptop/tablet/vaseline/baby wipes into the bathroom and make yourself comfy.

A colonoscopy has saved my life. I was close to perforating from Crohn's when I had it done and since I was already going 30 times a day the prep didn't seem much different than my usual0
