Can't add ingredient to recipe in my recipes

I wanted to post this in the technical support section but there was no way to post anything, only read others questions.
I added a recipe and want to add an ingredient. When I hit the add ingredient button, the search window comes up and I find the item I want to add, but once I select the quantity ( 1 tbsp )from the drop down window, nothing happens.

    I believe you, the recipe thing has been totally buggy for me forever. It works on my phone though.

    I share your frustrations with the recipe builder. I can hardly ever find the ingredients I want to add, despite the fact I know they exist in the main MFP database. Grrrr
    I hope for you it is just a glitch and resovles soon.

    I ended up copying the ingredients to a new recipe and then added the ingredient and saved the new recipe and then deleted the old one.

    it's 2023 and this issue still has not been fixed.
