Hi, all! I'm back after gaining much of the 50 pounds I lost some years ago. Even though I want to get back to where I was, I'm finding myself hindered by my own constant whiny self "omgguhh I want to be thin but what's the point I'll probably gain it back anyway ugh boo-hoo me." Has anyone any ideas for getting motivated again? I know it CAN be as simple as do it you lazy bum but I AM a lazy bum so that's not going to help. Any ideas are appreciated and you're all great and wonderful people, thank you :)

    This includes the basic steps of making change from a CBT perspective:
    1. Program yourself for success: Set a very specific goal. Remember that losing weight requires a change in thought and behavior, so set goals for your emotions and weight.

    2. Get a plan. Work out a detailed strategy because willpower doesn't work! To lose weight and keep it off, you must have a strategy .Plan ahead.

    3. Identify small, measurable steps. Implement steps that will fit your lifestyle, not somebody else's.

    4. Create a healthy, realistic timeline.

    5. Create meaningful monitoring and accountability.

    @RodaRose great post!!

    I'd add practicing gratitude and acceptance of yourself, personality, skills, gifts, uniqueness... The more we love and accept ourselves the more we will want to take care of ourselves.
    You are beautiful. And you are worth it.
