So summer is here in the N. Hemisphere! and my friend just gave me a whole bag o pears from her tree. Unfortunately they are not the delicious juicy Bartlett pears, but the really hard ones used for cooking. I don't want to use them to make any desserts, and I was wondering if anyone had any yummy healthy recipes for cooking pears.

    Slice 'em and grill 'em. Then add a little balsamic vinegar and goat cheese.

    I would add them on salads. Freeze them and dip them in melted dark chocolate or add them in oatmeal. Grilled sounds good too.
