Gaining weight after week 1!!!

After week 1 of being reasonably strict with my food and increasing my exercise I have gained half a kilo. Does anyone know why this could be happening? When I log my exercise should I be eating the extra kj? Could it be fluid retention? It's so de motivating to see this result after what I feel was a good week.
Also, I need to find some supportive friends but I can't figure out how to add people. If anyone else is looking for supportive friends please add me!! I am 32 years old, a mum, an Aussie (in newcastle, nsw), and I have around 10-12kg to lose :)

    Hi roddom. I'm in exactly the same situation you are - first week and 4lb up! I'm guessing mine is water since I religiously record and measure everything and am on 1200. It'll go in time, hopefully soon! Keep the faith! Do you want me to send you a message to friend?
