He was a huge part of my life growing up and I have always been a big fan, I love his seventies stuff best of all - so sad we have lot yet another unique, creative and original human0

Such a presence. Always did his own thing, and for many it took them years to understand how good it was. Saw him live once at the '83 US Festival, where he closed the night. Gone too soon, just like the guitarist who was also on the "Let's Dance" CD that happens to be one of my all time favorites.
The guy really did his own thing. I hope he enjoyed his life as much as we enjoyed his talents.0 -
I grew up with his music and have always had a fondness for him as a musician and personality. There were so many good things that he brought to the world including encouraging people to be themselves and express their personality no matter how strange it might look to the rest of the world. Gutted i never got to see him perform.0
