MapMyWalk

I have recently started using MapMyWalk. My question is, can I link my walks direct from the app or do I have to come onto MVP and add them as exercise like normal. I'm confused.

I highly recommend getting a heart rate monitor and entering manually. When I've used mapmywalk the calories burned haven been A LOT lower. I still use the app to get distance and elevation tho0

I'm not so worried about the calories. I'm keeping check on distance and speed.
Can't get the account to link.0 -

Mine links to MFP with no problem
Add them direct. My Fitness Pal → Apps → Map my Run (same app used for walking, biking, etc)0 -
Mine links directly to MFP and I don't add the exercise manually. You can also link MFP through MapMyWalk app under "connect apps and devices"0

They both say they are connected but how does the walking get from map.my walk get to mfp...
I'm probably being really dim. Lol.0 -
If they are linked, it is just automatically posted once you complete your walk. At least that is how it works with the Endomondo App. I have not used the MapMy apps with MFP as I decided to go the route of Endomondo instead.0

It should link automatically. Every once in a while I have to force "sync" through the MapMy Walk app. But, usually by the time I walk from the garage to my computer after a bike ride or walk it has already been added in MFP.0

Are you aware that at the end of your walk you need to "save" the workout? When you click "save" it sends the workout to their servers which then send it to the MFP servers. Otherwise it is just on your phone in the mapmywalk app.0 -

I have saved the work out and it said it was syncing to servers but nothing is showing in mfp. Very strange...0 -
had to disconnect my fitbit from MFP and the other way around, wait 1 day, then added them back again, got me syncing again after almost a week of no sync

Got it working now... Had a reply from support and they talked me through it... Yay...0
