When you are suffering from Renal(kidney) disease, any kidney specialist will say cut protein intake to (0.6g/kg -approx) depending on the stage of the disease. In this scenario, how can someone build muscles?

I've read eat more healthy fat, less protein, but not sure...if it were me I would look into it, though

I'd talk to my doctor and my dietitian about what I could be doing or should be doing and whether this was advised at this stage of things.

Not an expert. But I have a GFR rating a 2.3 for 2 years now and stable due to injury. Focus on maintaining/losing body weight and not worried about building muscle any more. Gave up on muscle mass for keeping healthy for the long run.
