Hi Dawn! Great job making an awesome first decision. For me, I did my best when I was really diligent about tracking all of my food. It really does make all the difference. Do you have any ideas on how you're going to approach you journey? I'm always down to make new friends so feel free to message me if you'd like :-)0

This site is pretty good with tracking macro-nutrient groups. Track you Macros and look at the effects on a daily basis. Eventually you will start choosing foods that meet your macro-nutrient requirements. Sometimes I order foods based on what I can or should have. Macro tracking is the key.
There are good articles everywhere about what to eat and how. For me, I have had to add avocado and walnuts because i was a 70s and 80 s child where they told us how bad fats were and to avoid them altogether like the food pyramid.
For me the best results come when I plan dinners before going to the grocery store to get foods. I try to make my plate look like the complete meal in the picture. When you make it yourself, you know exactly whats in there and what your quantities are. Track those carefully. You are mathematically guaranteeing weight loss if you do it right. Count on a pound or so a week. Don't try to do more than that unless you really step up your exercise program.0
