So far I've lost 45lbs on my own, just joined MFP.

I started my lifestyle change in 2013, I had reached my heaviest at 185lbs, being only 5'2 I was carrying a lot of weight for my frame. I started having health issues and realized I needed to make a difference not just for myself but also my children. I'm a single parent of two and when I was pregnant with my daughter, I found out she had Spina Bifida. So I know my health needs to be at its best to take care of her first and foremost. When I realized how out of shape I was, I joined a gym the next day and started keeping a food journal. I didn't know anything about working out or what foods to eat I had to teach myself everything. I read magazines and articles like crazy trying to see where I should start. I decided to start with cardio because it burns fat but after 2 weeks I wasn't seeing any results so I signed up for Zumba and started lifting weights. I would lift weights 3x week with 30 mins of cardio after, I did Zumba 2x week too. Once I figured out a food plan it all came together. I started not only losing weight but also inches, my fitness plan was actually working. I lost a total of 45 pounds and since then I have just been maintaining this current weight. I decided I would like to lose about 20lbs more, so I joined MFP this January, started working out more and I'm ready to do this again. I'm hoping it goes well, but the last pounds are supposedly the hardest to lose, so we'll see. Is there anyone here with similar goals?
