IPhone app & Over 50 lbs

I'm looking for people who are over 50 and are attempting to love 50+ lbs in a sensible way. My new dietician has my plan set up by carbs. But the IPhone app is set up by calories so it's like trying to compare apples & oranges. I'm also finding that not everything that I put in the app is syncing to this site, which is where I need to print the reports to give the dietician.

I am seeing a therapist to assist with the emotional block against dieting and losing weight, but he admits that it is going to be extremely difficult. I live alone, so I only purchase & feed one person. I don't cook, meal plans are beyond me....and I feel like I'm whining instead of being proactive.
