I am following the Dash diet, recommended by the ADA after going to a seminar at work.
I read the book, it is a lot of common sense. Anyone have some experience to share?

In a way i do Dash ( Mediterranean)
I had to get salt less for medical reasons. and yes it lowered my BP
But that will be different for everybody.
also taking salt out of your diet is something you should discus with your doctor first. It is not without risks.
But yes, an all balanced diet were you can eat everything in moderation ( Mediterranean) and eat less salt worked very good for me. And always did before.
As long as you count and create a deficit you lose weight
or eat Surplus you will gain. On any diet.
But the Mediterranean is the most balanced diet there is, take away all the salt and you have Dash ( in a way)

Not only did my husband lose a lot of weight on this, but his cholesterol numbers are very good. HDL is perfect. Get yours checked someday. Free with insurance once a year. The things he started eating were very healthy.0
