Cool Thank's! I'm willing to give it a try! I'm hoping it works as good as expect it too! But I guess in the end it's really up to us (cause we are the ones wanting to make it work), RIght?! lol

It works as well as you make it work. Just remember to start off slowly and be kind to yourself. :) A body that's used to 2800 calories a day and a couch potato lifestyle is going to have a real problem if you suddenly cut it down to 1200 calories with 45 minutes of cardio every day. Step down your food intake slowly, make sure your food is balanced and start adding exercise a bit at a time, and you'll see a difference pretty quick. Start off too fast, and you'll feel hungry, tired, sore and want to give up. :) Good luck!

Agree with the "take it slow" mentality. Many people start out too aggressively, choosing the 2 lbs/week weight loss regimen and then getting so disappointed because that's so hard to stick with. Start off with .5 or 1 lb per week. If that doesn't sound like much, it's because you've been brainwashed by all the diet schemes and garbage out there. Slow weight loss is more permanent weight loss. It's okay to be cautiously optimistic about your 40-pound goal but just understand that it will most likely take longer than you hope. Keep pushing through anyway. Good luck.

Thank's. I'm actually used to bring active! But the food is a bit of a problem! lol I work 3rd shift at the hospital and so I find myself at the snack machines a lot!!!! lol I could say that's where all my added weight came from but??? It's my own fault!, But I decided to make some changes, I joined the gym yesterday made one week for me, I've cute down on junk foods, (No I haven't gave up my Nos yet), (Sorry, but to be honest I probably wont)!, But I have made changes in eating and I'm trying to eat most of my foods before 7pm, and so far after one week I was really impressed with myself I've already lost 8 lbs, and feel fabulous! Well actually right now I feel tired cause I've been up all night working 12 hours and then the gym right after work so? Yeah Tied is the key word there!!!!.

Welcome to MFP! I joined Dec 7 and I have lost 9 lbs so far. I have 40 more to go. It looks like we could inspire each other. Send me a friend request.
