I have been researching the paleo diet as of late and was wondering what people thought about it. Also, as someone who has a lot of struggle with diet overall and generally loves all the things you would have to give up on this diet, what it's the best process of going paleo? Meaning, should I stop eating stuff cold turkey, a little at a time, etc?

Eat the things you love. You can lose weight by weighing and logging and eating smaller portions of what you have been eating.

If paleo would involve giving up all the things you love to eat, why even consider it? Paleo offers no advantage over any other way of eating as far as weight loss or general health is concerned. It's the same as any other diet - eat at a caloric deficit, lose weight; eat at a caloric surplus, gain weight. No diet is magical or defies the laws of thermodynamics, despite what some of its advocates may claim.

There's much more to Paleo that simple weight loss. The health benefits are the real goal. :)
