Did limiting calories make you sleepy at first?

I recently have cut my calories by about 500 per day according to My Fitness Pal. I am already trimmer. It's amazing. MFP has me consuming 1400 calories a day, which I can do.
But I feel so sleepy! I keep crashing in the middle of the day (like, falling into a dead-sleep), craving coffee in the evening, and running into things.
Did anyone else experience this? I'm 28 years old, no kids, non-smoker, and have perfect bloodwork except for slight low-blood sugar.
This has only started happening since I cut down to 1400 calories a day and eliminated all but the smallest amounts of meat.
Is my body going to adjust or should I do something different?

Are you getting enough iron? If not, you could be suffering from anemia. Take a look at this web page from the CDC:
