Questions on loosing weight

I have been working out for last 7 mths and lost some weight but not a great amount and have gained muscle, my question is do I eat more calories to loose weight?, I don't eat fatty foods. I eat chicken, fish, veggies, tons of water, salads, protein shakes, but I am not loosing, my calorie intake per day is about 2800 calories and I and supposed to be eating 3050 on this app, after I put my calorie burn from work outs I am at 2150 or 2300 for calorie intake. How to loose weight? Any suggestion will be appreciated.

No...all other things being equal, if you're not losing weight, you need to eat less.

Yes your body needs to be balanced. Are you getting proper nutrition ? Biggest thing as well is are you eating enough, if not your body will go backwards and hold on to that ...
I have lost 85 lbs by getting healthy, working out, eating healthier etc... but I never realized that my body was lacking until It started getting what it needed.

OP, try dropping your calories by another 100-200/day.

Do you weigh solid foods on a scale and measure liquids? If not, there is a good chance you are eating 10-50% more than you think you are, which could be why you are not losing.

Remember that the number given by MFP is still an estimate. If you find you are not losing weight by following the number given by MFP - and this is a proper plateau over 3 weeks - then you need to increase your calorie deficit, either by eating less, or burning more calories in activity. Start to figure out what your deficit should be and how many calories you should eat based on your actual data from the last month.

Make your diary open and public so we can see how you are weighing and measuring your intake.

    1. Looking through your diary, I've noticed that you have a lot of repeated entries at "1 cup" or "100 grams". Do you weigh your portions with a food scale? If not, you might be eating more calories than you think.
    2. What are your stats? Height, current weight?
    3. I only see a couple of days logged. Track more accurately, then reevaluate your goals in 4 weeks.
    4. Do you eat back what you burn off through exercise? If so, how are you estimating your burns?

I've often wondered how people who think that if you don't eat enough you won't lose weight explain anorexia.

My hardest part is when I work shifts and have to work out in the am and I watch what I eat and try to stick to a lot of meats or low cal, and I put the duplicate stuff. In. Because I am trying to figure out the app and not the best tech person sorry for confusion, i work one second shift a month and I have changed my diet a lot from before and cut out soft drinks.

My job is high activity and lot of climbing and I track my steps with step counter and calorie and I usually hit around 9500 steps in 10 hr day and when I get home I go to the gym and there's housework so I am guessing there is a lot of calorie burn I can't document and plus I know I have severe ibs and causes a lot of bloat and have been on a probiotic and am going to try activated charcoal to help with the excess Bloatand inflammation. There are days I look like I have a flat stomach then days my gut gets bloated and it's a pain.

These calculators are just reasonable estimates. If you're maintaining and truly eating 2,800 calories then 2,800 calories is your maintenance level of calorie intake. So just shave off a few hundred calories. My maintenance is right around 2,800 calories and I lose nicely on 2,300 - 2,500.
