Gain muscle, Lose fat

I am considered a healthy weight according to the BMI scale but I do not like what I see in the mirror.
I would like some help in obtaining muscle while losing fat. I have access to free weights at home. It is too cold outside (single digits) to do running.

If you're new to resistance training you can do it. Eat at maintenance calories, eat >0.6g protein per pound every day, start a structured lifting program that focuses on progressive overload and compound exercises.
Just a warning, results will be extremely slow, and quite a bit slower than bulking/cutting, but is definitely doable.0 -
Lift weights, eat more calories than you burn, gain muscle (and some fat). Lift weights, eat less calories than you burn, lose fat (and some muscle).0

You've essentially been given two options in those two replies. Either will work, but bulking & cutting will definitely provide results faster.0
