I am a beginner but I am very motivated. I purchased a Garmin watch to keep track of all my stats but I need help to improve them! I am learning about pace, cadence, breathing etc. I'll take any tips I can get. I want to improve distance and time. My Garmin Connect is: JaeDaKing in case you want to see my stats

The biggest tips I can offer any new runner are consistency and patience.

Run (at a conversational pace) consistently 3 or 4 timers per week, build your aerobic base first before worrying too much about speed and don't try to rush the progress too quickly, many new runners become victims of their enthusiasm and end up injured as a result of too much, too soon, too fast. Attend to minor injuries (we all get them) before they become big problems.

Cross train......swim, bike, row, lift weights.....all of these will make you a better runner by addressing muscular imbalances and make you more resistant to injury (strong core, strong hip & glutes)

    Have fun!
