There's No Excuse Not To!!

Hey guys!
My name is Mitch and I'm more motivated than I have ever been in my entire life! A few weeks ago, I watched a YouTube video of an incredible 90 day transformation of a guy who looked like me, working his *kitten* off to have a shredded body. His overlaid speech was incredibly motivational and left me with the mantra that "There's No Excuse Not To!"
I thought to myself, there isn't any reason why I can't get these results too...all I had to do was start. So the next day I started dieting and working out, and have been every day for the past 13 days!! I have never stuck with working out for more than 2-3 days before and don't think I'm ever turning back! I'm done being unhappy with myself. I'm done being self-conscious of the way I look. I'm taking control of my life and am going to get into the best shape I've ever been!!
I am aiming to lose about 25 more lbs, with 185 being my goal weight. I am also going to get ripped....and I'm not just thinking about how nice it would be to get there...I'm GOING to get there.
For the past two weeks now I've been working out every night and am at the point where I'm enjoying my work outs, but I have limited equipment at home (2 sets of Dumbbells) which has left me exploring the idea of joining a gym. Except that the gym seems like an incredibly daunting and scary place right now. I've never joined a gym before and have all sorts of irrational fears that have me thinking I shouldn't do it. You know, the usual everyone's going to be looking at me or I won't know what I'm doing and will look stupid...or just the unfamiliarity with a new place. I'm scared to even go in to a gym to have a look because I hate dealing with pushy salesmen and don't like going new places alone. I don't have anyone that can go with me or any sort of workout buddy. All of these things have left me terrified of doing it, but every day I want to more and more!! So, I need some help! Make me do this!!!
I would love to find some other people on here that share similar goals or are just starting out like me...people I can help to motivate and who will keep me accountable to someone. People who could teach me a thing or two about fitness or strength training. I want this too bad to let myself fail!
Oh and by the way, I'm from Canada, I'm 28 years old and am going to achieve my goals!!! There's No Excuse Not To!!

Hi Mitch,
Congrats on your progress and motivation. Very inspiring.
Don't let your fear hold you back from joining a gym. If you really want to...do it. I've been a member of a couple different ones, and they really aren't that scary. Someone will usually walk you through the machines, or you can get a trainer for a little while just to get you started.
