Hi Gluten Free friends out there!

I'm allergic to wheat and am having a hell of a time finding high fiber grains to replace whole wheat. The gf options (like brown rice flour, tapioca flour, etc) just don't even come close to whole wheat.

Anybody have any grains they recommend trying?

Quinoa is good , buckwheat as well , amaranth is less fibre but works well as a flour substitute , not a grain but good fibre and protein are chia seeds ,

Chickpea flour (besan), sorghum. You can bake with some lentil varieties, it's relatively common in regional Indian cuisine. Cassava flour can also be used (tapioca is the starch, there is also a flour raw or pre roasted). For fiber content I would go with oats flour.

Your best bet is probably to use a blend. I don't know what the fibre content is, but you could try a blend from here: http://glutenfreeonashoestring.com/all-purpose-gluten-free-flour-recipes/ or buy cup for cup. My personal preference is to go for a decent gf bread regardless of fibre, and to get that from other sources such as fruits and vegetables.
