Well, my name is Ann. I am 42, married to a wonderful husband with an almost 2 yr old. He will be 2 next Friday. I had gastric bypass almost 11 yrs ago. I started doing good but then meds my family dr gave me made me gain weight and just went back and forth. Before surgery I weighed 375. I am now 300. The lowest I got was 238. I have a history of anxiety, depression, and health problems. Mainly my thyroid. I am a diabetic but don't have to be on meds anymore. I also have severe back problems and can't really do a lot of standing at one time. I was told for 20 yrs that I would never have a child. In 2012 I had a cervical biopsy, but evrything was good. On July 3, 2013 after a month of not having my monthly, I decided to get a pregnancy on the finding of having liquid coming from my breast. I told my husband that if it is positive then we know why I didn't have my monthly, but if it was negative there may be something wrong. I took it and right away it came out positive. Anyway, my son was born with some health problems but is doing really good now. I need to get healthy, not just for him or my husband but for myself. I have tried so many times but I am seeing some difficulty with keeping up with him and tired a lot and finding it hard to chase after him. I don't want to live like this anymore. The last couple days I have been watching a show called "My 600 lb Life." My dad's brothers and sisters were really heavy set. About 5 or 6 weighed about 500-700 lbs. Some of the weight is hereditary but I'm not gonna use that as a crutch. I know I don't eat right. I buy microwavable stuff because of convience and I know it is loaded with crap. Time for a serious change. Watching that show has given me some motivation and I really need to do something before my health gets bad. I need to find some kind of exercise program to do at home. Any suggestions? Anyway, nice to meet you all.

Hi Ann and welcome! The beauty of MFP is that you don't have to cut anything out. No food is bad, just eating too much is bad. You just need to be in a deficit. I eat microwaved stuff all the time but I have lost all my weight and am now in maintenance. read this
