I just started dieting and exercising prior to I was drinking a lot of soda probably only eating one meal a day but when I did I would probably over eat and eat unhealthy things so now that I've regulated what I'm eatingand my calorie and take and have been exercising I've been losing approximately 1 pound a day

At the beginning you'll lose quicker because of water weight coming off, but it should stabilize after a couple weeks.

It is just normal fluctuation. You can fluctuate many pounds per day, even per hour. Water weight, how much food is in your stomach/intestines/etc. When you start off and make changes, you will lose a lot of water weight initially.

First, welcome. Second, it is mainly water weight so if you are meeting your calorie goal, and you should be, then you will find it slows down to close to the goal per week you have chosen. If you have a lot to lose (100 or more pounds) 2 pounds per week is a reasonable goal. If you have less than that to lose 1.5 or even 1 pound a week might be better.

Depends on how much you have to lose, plus how long you have been losing a pound a day. Water weight often flies off at the beginning, it's why if you weight weekly the first weigh in will usually be the highest, then depending on your calorie intake will usually drop to 1-2 pounds a week.
