Splenda danger?

Okay, I KNOW Mercola is a quack. But what about the "review" or study or whatever that he references here? Is there any truth in this deceptively-worded piece?

I have no idea about this specific study, but I have found that when -- in the past -- I have looked at the sources for Mercola's claims, I have found that he is either over-stating or mis-stating what the study actually says or drawing conclusions from the study that are not there to be drawn (making blanket statements from tiny studies with small sample groups or from studies that don't actually apply to what he is warning against).

I have no faith in his integrity or the integrity of anything published on his site because of his fast-and-loose way with the facts.

Put another way: I had Splenda in my coffee yesterday. I will likely have Splenda in my coffee again tomorrow.

Splenda is chlorine! Not good. Use stevia only.

Gotcha. I'm thinking along the same lines. I suppose I should take a look at the actual study and try to sort it out for myself. ;)
