Protein shakes to lose fat and gain muscle

I want to start take protein shakes and protein bars to gain muscle but I also want to lose fat. I don't want to lose a lot of fat thou. Most of my fat is in my thighs and butt. And I know I can't spot reduce. I weigh about 147lbs and I want to be 130lbs. So if I increase my protein intake and eat about 1,200-1,400 calories a day, do HIIT 3-4 times a week and do strength training 6x a week, will I lose weight/fat and gain muscle at the same time ?

You won't be gaining muscle at 1200 calories. Focus on losing weight and maintaining the muscle, then you can bulk afterwards.0

Improbable. While recomp happens, people need to eat at about maintenance to do it. Calorie deficit won't lead to adding muscle gain of any significance.
