Hi! How do you (or do you) account for the calories expended by exclusively breastfeeding your baby? Do you adjust your calorie goal?

Hi, I have the same question. I read somewhere that nursing mothers need between 300-500 extra calories. I was given a target of 1400 by MFP and I just manually changed it to 1800. I've been loosing weight with this number - more than my goal in fact so maybe I burn more. Yesterday for example my 3 month old nursed lots I was so hungry I ate another 500 calories again. I'm not doing it again and part of me wonders if I was just trying to justify my binge but I'll get back on track. If my supply drops I might increase my target by another 100..0
