Hi everybody,
Thought I'd finally get a bit more involved. Not going to lie - looking for a bit of support, too.
I'm here to find ways to improve my diet. I'm not looking to lose weight, but I do want to control my sugar addiction and get stronger.
I've always had a sweet tooth and although I've slowly been weaning off over the last few years, my new years resolution (which I started early, in december) is to eat even less bad sugars. Not going IQS, because there are many things that have sugar in them which have many other added benefits, like fruits and definitely not saying I will not eat chocolate or sweets at all any more, but (much) less of it is the goal.
Part of me being stricter, is that my partner is T1D and so always needs to be in control of his carb intake. He has been looking at how he's being affected by all sorts of things (including caffeine and fats) and controlling his diet. I'm supporting him in that, by trying to cook low fat meals where the carbs are measurable. I don't want (him) to lose much more weight, so looking for Low GI, high carb (low sugar) low fat recipes - to make things easy!
Any questions are more than welcome, looking forward to getting more involved in the forums.
