What gives?

I literally worked my butt off this week. Over 300 minutes active, I did not eat back any of my calories I was given, I stuck with my 1900 a day. My macros weren't always perfect but close. And I only lost 1.5 pounds. Now I know that 1 pound is the goal, but the first few weeks I lost 2-3 and did no exercise. I was extremely active this week and didn't lose near as much?

Losing 1.5 pounds is excellent, especially if your goal was only 1 pound a week. At the beginning of our weight loss, sometimes we lose very quickly. As we progress, it can slow down. Some weeks you may not lose at all despite being online. Celebrate your win.0

When you work out hard... Your muscles get sore/inflammed and take on water. If you just started an intense exercise routine... I highly suggest you throw out the scale for a while... It will only mislead you.0

You still lost. Loss will not be linear, or constant. Even if you did everything EXACTLY the same everyday, your weight loss will probably change as you go. Some weeks more, some weeks less. It's water retention and hormones and bowel movements and all sorts of other factors. Just keep at it and don't give up.
Plus, as you get closer to goal it will get harder and hard to lose.0 -
First few weeks = probably water weight loss.
A loss is a loss, be happy, you are doing well.
Loss is NOT linear.0 -
You ONLY lost 1.5lb? Go pick up 1.5lb of something - anything, and then tell me that's not a success!0

As you continue with your journey you will see that sometimes you will lose more, sometimes less. Don't let that discourage you. The fact that you are losing any weight means you are on a good track so keep on going!
Also, the further you go the harder it will get. You will start building more muscles, and losing fat, your scale won't move much but you will look much fitter.
Numbers are not always the right representation. Maybe focus more on how your body feels and how your clothes fit. Good luck!0
