In leg cast, hip joint now clicking......

Well I've been in a leg cast for 7 weeks, I decided today I was going to do some v sits still with the cast on, just to see if I could, and oh my my hips are clicking so bad! I'm 29. Is this normal? Will it stop once I'm walking again?
