Hi all! I am going to make a stirfry and need to know how do I count the calories per serving. I plan to make enough for at least 2 days. I will have chicken breast, peppers, onions, mushrooms and stirfry sauce. Thanks!

When you are finished you could just look at the dish and guess. I'm always pretty much on the money. Always weigh your food before cooking. Use recipe builder on here.

    Use the recipe builder.

Weigh the raw ingredients and put those measurements into the recipe builder so that you'll have the overall nutrition and calories.

Weigh your empty pan before you start.

    Cook your meal.

Weigh it after it finishes cooking and subtract the weight of the pan so that you get the total weight of the cooked food.

Put the final weight of the cooked food into the recipe builder as the number of servings. Let's say that the final product weighs 939 grams. You can put that as 939 servings or 9.39 servings if you want to divide by 100 so that you have 100 gram servings.

Now you can weigh out your portion and just put the weight in for how many servings you used. If you weigh out 137 grams, that will be 137 servings or 1.37 servings if you divided by 100.

I use the recipe builder for things like this. I enter each ingredient (16 oz of chicken, 1 bell pepper, xx grams of carrots, 2 tbsp olive oil, etc etc) and put the number of portions and then measure out the portions at the end.

The recipe builder is a great tool. Anyone who cooks much should get to know it.
