Hi guys!
I'm a new mom to a 5 month old, and during pregnancy I acquired some dreaded stretch marks on my stomach and hips. Even though I've been losing weight, it's hard to be completely happy with my body because I am discouraged by the appearance of the marks on my body. I was was wondering if there were any treatments you would recommend that have worked for you. Thanks!

Tiger stripes - you earned those. That body made a baby, no shame in that. You could try some cocoa butter creams, but there's probably not much you can do.

Stretch marks are forever unfortunately. They will fade with time. I have stretch marks from having very large babies while I was obese. You can barely see them now.

Bio oil is meant to be fab, but I've always had them pregnant or just fat. The redness will fade nicely into silvery stripes. X

I've had them since my teens because I went from super petite gymnast to normal teenage girl, to overweight adult! They fade A LOT over time and now that I'm shrinking you can barely notice a lot of them and that will only improve. Nearly everyone has them so learn to love those battle scars.

They do fade over time - I promise! Mine were pretty deep and red but my kids are now 6 and 3.5 and they are MUCH lighter. I had big babies - 9 and 10 lbs each and it was just inevitable for me.
