Fitbit Calories Burned

Ok just a question for those that have a fitbit. So far today, it tells me that I have burned 660 calories just from walking and stuff like that. I did do an actual workout of 25 minutes of walking at a faster pace, which it told me that I burned 344 calories there, way more than my old HRM would have given me. So I guess my question is, how are you all figuring this. Do you keep the calories that they give you back or do you delete them and then only count the workout calories? I'm just a little confused how eating that many calories back is going to help me. Thanks In Advance!

That is crazy high for a 25 minute walk, but see where the number lies at the end of the day. FitBit is making adjustments all day long (comparing to your stated activity level). You will have bigger adjustments in the morning usually.
Here's a link to the group. There should be additional information there.
