Reaching for my best self (again!)

Hello, I'm Tessa. I'm just a simple Cajun girl, living in my food loving, unhealthy world and my goal is to make some permanent lifestyle changes. I'm in my late 40's and feeling older than I am. I don't do fad diets, cleanses, or any of that stuff. I just want to make healthier choices, and lose about 40 lbs. I've been in "mom mode" for so many years, and have neglected to really make myself a priority. I've decided that 2016 will be a bit of a selfish year for me, and I am devoted to focusing on myself for a change. I have many milestones approaching in the coming year, and want to feel good about myself again. If you can relate, please feel free to add me as a friend for motivation and support. I need it!

    I know the feeling of kids and being in parent mode. It can affect eating habits big time. When the kids don't eat anything but crap and your trying to eat clean. uggg

    I cook at home every day, and we rarely eat out. I still try to cook their favorites, and supplement with some "My Fit Foods" meals when I can. I LOVE food, and I love to cook, so I struggle. That king cake got the best of me last week, but I logged it nonetheless :/
