I have been on here almost 5 weeks and i have noticed people keep saying to eat your exercise calories? This is so confusing? So do i eat them or not and how has this affected your weight loss???

Since you have a lot of weight to lose, if you're losing fine now NOT eating them, don't worry about it until later when your weight loss slows or stalls. I only have 22 more lbs to lose so I have to eat almost every last one or I won't lose... it's been that way since day one since I started out with a smaller amount of weight to lose (total of 40). Everyone's different but the more weight you have to lose, the more of a deficit you can have, so you should be fine for now.0

I have been on here since January and I have never eaten my exercise calories. It seems almost like a waist to exercise if you are just going to consume those calories you burned. It has not affected my weight loss. I have consistently lost 2 pounds a week since I started.

I eat back most, if not all, of my exercise calories. This site already calculates a deficit in your calories. If you don't eat back some of your exercise calories, you put your body into starvation mode. When that happens, the weight stops coming off.....(at least that's how MY body reacts to it) But everyone is different :glasses:0

I dont eat my exercise calories because I have alot of weight to lose. But when I get down to my ideal body weight I will probably have to start eating them. It makes sense if you look at it this way. When you dont have alot of fat ( what your body uses for energy) the body has to use other source for its energy. (muscle) You dont want to lose muscle! So you eat more calories so your body has something to burn other than the muscle! Then that is what I would consider a maintence thing!0

You're supposed to eat your exercise calories. They have you do that because it keeps up your metabolism. The more metabolism you have the quicker you lose weight. I have 50lbs to lose and I eat my exercise calories. I've consistency lost 2 lbs every week. If you don't eat your exercise calories you're body will go into starvatoin mode which isn't good for you and it will make it harder to lose the weight.0

I agree. The deficit is built in. So you should be able to be some if not all of your exercise calories!0
