I've been off and on myfitnesspal for quite a while, but have started using it regularly again this year in conjunction with my reboot of the 21 Day Fix and Shakeology combo (which I love by the way and am totally stoked that they just released a cafe latte flavor!) in order to help me keep myself on track. My reason for working out is my son, he is my world. My goal is to boost my health, avoid some of the health issues that run in my family and set a great example for my son with his health and fitness along the way.

I'm a very busy mom who teaches Biology with an approximate 75% teaching load at two different colleges (yes, that means I work an approximate 150% load each semester). My son is currently 3 1/2, almost 4 and loves to lift his weights (he has a single 2 lb weight) with me and practicing his karate skills. My biggest challenge is finding the time when I work so many hours. My new teaching schedule has me in and out of a lecture hall/laboratory four days a week, about 12 hours a day, which means my alarm goes off every morning at 4am so I can complete my workout before I start my very long days. I recover (sleep-wise) over the weekend.
