]Hairy Dieters: Cranberry and Almond Muesli
Introduction
Store bought muesli can be full of sugar and not as healthy as you might think. Here is a recipe taken from the Hairy Dieters recipe book. Very tasty and satisfying
Minutes to Prepare: 5
Minutes to Cook: 5
Number of Servings: 1
Calories per portion: 195 kcal
Ingredients
50g Flaked Almonds
300g Jumbo Porridge Oats
75g Unsweetened Puffed Rice
100g Mixed Dried Fruit
100g Dried Cranberries
125mL Semi-Skimmed Milk
Assorted Fresh Berries
Tips
Portion size 50g. Serve with 125mL semi skimmed milk or a dollop of low fat natural yoghurt with some fresh berries.
*** Calories per portion is without added milk***
Directions
1. Toasted the almonds in a non-stick frying pan for 3-5 minutes turning occasionally.
2. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
3. Store in air tight container.
Serving Size: Makes 12 Servings
