Morning Canucks!
Well it looks like even with having a not so healthy Thursday to Sunday I still managed to loose some weight this week. I'm down 1.2lbs from last weigh-in. YEAH!!
I was doing a bit of window shopping on Sunday and tried on these super cute Bermuda shorts and gorgeous top that I'd like to wear to my friends wedding in August... I was able to get the shorts on but they were a bit tight, so my goal is to literally work my butt off for the next month so that I can go back buy them and wear them comfortably. I think the sales lady was a bit put off when I gave her everything back and told her "Nope I don't want a larger size, I'll be back though..." I refuse to buy any more clothes in a "larger" size.
I've been getting much better at logging my food and sticking within my calories, my challenge now is to kick the exercise bit up a notch - now if the mosquito's weren't so darn bad here I'd be able to enjoy the nice weather a bit more which would make the exercise thing easier. Today's goal... get the baby and I ready to go grocery shopping in the city - I'm all out of fresh fruit and veggies (a first in my house) and it's time to pick up more.

Tasha you're doing great! Can't believe Abigail is going to be 2months old so soon!!!! I have decided not to measure myself in weight but just in how much I can improve my health. I have been counting my calories and uping my exercise. I haven't figured out what to replace the hard workouts at home with at the lake.....But we do alot of golfing so I will walk more and not take the cart, plus there is always walking the dog! I know Otto will help me out with that - I will get that weiner dog in shape too. He's nearly 10 so we will start out slow with him.
I suppose you are talking about the same wedding I am getting in shape for? I tried my bridesmaid dress on the other day and was not happy. the dress is beautiful but I didn't like me in it. Praying the next six weeks I can do look alot better!

Weigh in today: 133.9 lbs. Sure happy to see that 133. wow. up .1 which means nothing compared to what I ate on the weekend. ugh, it sure proved to me that my body is used to the food that I give it b/c man did I get sick. I gotta learn to say no when I attend a function.
Kind of an exciting thing happened today: I can put my promise ring on the next finger in(so actually my middle finger now). I know it doesnt seem like much, but I'm pretty proud. It's another step in the right direction.
I tried a new dessert this week. My husband and I bought fresh raspberries and blackberries, then we put vanilla yogurt on top with a sprinkle of Kashi crunch cereal. It was super good.
Good luck Canadians!!
haha guess we are all getting ready for the same wedding. :laugh:0 -

How did shopping with Abigail go Tash??
It actually went really well! We got our butt in gear and spent a few hours grocery shopping - she slept while I hauled around her and the cart. Logged in 105 mins of walking - Wish I could figure out just how much weight I was actually pushing around in those carts (bought cat food, dog food, regular groceries, a baby car seat and an 11lb baby) I'm really starting to notice the muscles in my arms.
Today's a rainy day so we won't be doing much walking today - guess it'll just be laundry (boo!) today.
I went on to one of those virtual model sites that people have posted here to see what I "could" look like at my goal weight (well the first one). WOW! I can't get over what a difference. :noway:
Oh, how could I forget... so yesterday while in the city I stopped by where my hubby used to work (to drop off a Thank you card) and one of the guys there had to do a double take when he saw me. He said "Holy Tasha you're so small!" I could've kissed him. :smooched: I said Thanks, I've been working hard and have a lot more hard work ahead of me... but it felt good to have the weight loss noticed! :bigsmile:0 -

Hey Canucks! so its been crazy long and i have truly slacked in the last year, did not lose any weight, continued to exercise pretty consistently but never really got anywhere. so Im back to my home and wanting to start logging in everything and actually do something about this weight. I got really inspired this week when two of my patients, both on different days thought i was pregnant. Like talk about a let down, i was so sad, i mean i was pretty upset the first time last thursday when my patient said something like: "oh you must be about two months in" and i just turned completely red and instantly wanted to cry. then this past weekend another patient deliberatly came up to me and touched my belly and said: "are you having a baby" and i just wanted to die, I couldnt believe that it happened to me twice. Not to mention that I just recently went off the pill because it was really screwing me up, so i decided to get a pregnancy test cause it was so weird to have two ppl do that to me. Thankfully no pregnancy, im glad just seeing as we really arent financially ready for that.....but the thought of someone thinking i was pregnant wow, it just killed me. Anyways so thats my motivation this week, to exercise in order for peopl not to think i am pregnant, and i think im gonna buy some new scrubs that camoflage a little better.....anyhow, Im so impressed with you guys, you are all doing so wonderful, so Yous will be my motivators for the week!!! Jay, did you do a marathon? i saw ur picture, and im inspired cause i have always wanted to do one, even if it was only like 5K.....anyhow, good luck and when is our weigh in day? i just weighed myself today and im at 164.2 which is a 1.6 lb weight loss from last week, so not bad! anyways ttyl0

Hey Mxburke!! Welcome back!!:flowerforyou:
I did a half marathon at the end of May. I had always wanted to do one, another goal that I wanted to complete. It was an amazing experience and I encourage anyone who may think that they want to try it, DO IT!! I proved so much to myself that I can literally do anything. lol. Absolutely start with a 5k, that would be great!!!
Weigh ins are Wednesdays, tomorrow.
Dont worry about what other people say, but maybe it was the kick in the a** that you needed??:bigsmile:0
