If you only have 10- 15 mins to spare, what would be the most effective workout?

I love kettlebells! Plenty to do in even 5 mins -- although your 10-15 would be better. Some sites say that kettlebells burn 20 calories per minute, no idea if that is true but they certainly exhaust in record time!

Try out Lauren Brooks / On the Edge Fitness, she does DVDs and online streaming and there are 16 short workouts available for free on Youtube which you can alternate:

Push ups, planks, burpees, squats with a jump on the uplift, kettle bells, running, jumping jacks... Anything where you're moving

Do you have only 10/15 minutes per day?
Well, probably the RCAF's 5BX/XBX plans.
    5BX (men): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5BX
    XBX (women): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XBX
    (the books are linked)

Gianfranco, normally i will exercise for 40-60 mins. but there are some days when family plans do not allow for that much time. so i figure if i can get in a good 10-15 mins then i wont feel guilty.

anything involving running or jumping is difficult for me, i have bad knees, the next day i can barely move them.
