I am 47 and not losing much!

Hello to all the ladies who may be around my age. So, I am 47 and it looks like I am headed toward menopause. My cycle is irregular if it even shows up, hips feel like they are widening, feeling a bit warm, etc...not fully there yet. But I noticed the scale is not budging!! Not one bit, and if I do lose a pound it takes FOREVER!. If I indulge once, I add on 5 lbs! I used to drop weight at the drop of a hat. Anyone out there meet their goals and give me hope?

No help but sympathy! I am 45 and finding the same thing. MFP tells me if I eat 5014 Kj a day I will lost .08 kg a week and I am losing nothing even though I'm eating considerably less than I used to, and very healthily - no alcohol, chocolate, bread... Help!

Ps today I told my husband I felt like eating donuts for breakfast since eating well isn't doing me any good.

Well I am 44 and crazy perimenopausal, its harder to lose weight at this age, but this is the time to buckle down and focus,,, exercise is the key in getting rid of, or lessening your symptoms, it really helps!

If you don't already have one, buy a digital scale. Weigh all solids, measure all liquids. If you're using MFP as a gauge for your exercise calories, cut it by about 30% and only eat half of those back. See how you're doing in a couple of weeks and then reassess. With so little to lose, set your goal to .5 pounds per week loss, it will leave you feeling less "hangry" with the deficit. I'm 49 and in the throes of menopause, I understand your frustration, but being diligent has resulted in steady weight loss for me. :)

I am so motivated and having no trouble sticking to it, recording everything and yes weighing everything on digital scales. I suspect any day now I'll have a whoosh of weight loss after no change for 8 days but heck it's frustrating!

By The way! To all of you today, stay strong! I can tell you all are awesome and as hard as it is, we will get there, even if we take "the scenic route." Let me know how the day goes <3
