Hi everyone! =)

For all of my life I have been up and down with my weight. I was a chubby child, a thin teenager, gained weight in my mid teens, then I developed an eating disorder in my late teens and I became far too thin for my frame.

That all changed when my mum died 2 weeks before my 20th birthday. All of a sudden I had more important things to worry about than eating 440kcal a day and exercising the same amount off. I gained some weight and stuck around 120-130lbs, which my body seemed happy with naturally.

Several years on and I've had more issues with a stalker who I now have a restraining order against, and my old workplace demonised me for it. In late 2014 I was diagnosed with depression (something I have had on and off since I was first diagnosed at 11 years old). I turned to food for comfort. I'm now happily married with the man of my dreams who loves every bit of me but now the comfort he's given me has well and truly made me fat!

This time I want to lose weight healthily, not starve myself, so I came across MFP. After a week of using it I have lost a few pounds (yay!), but only just discovered the forums!

So long story short, here I am! Hello to everyone. I hope I can make some friends on here. =)

Sorry for opening up... It's strange when you have relative anonymity we feel more a bit more comfortable!

Starting weight: 210.2lbs
Goal weight: 124lbs

Welcome! I hope you enjoy the site and continue doing well and being happy. I used this site once before and was losing weight and then life happened and I had to stop. I just started back this week with a new purpose so hopefully it goes well. The biggest tip I can share is to watch your sugar intake and make sure you get your protein in every day. I have a fitbit and have it connected to my account here too. It works great because it adds calories; etc based on your activity. I normally don't use up the extra calories and that is fine but you definitely want to make sure you consume the minimum calories they are telling you to take in. Doing that seems to work for me. Anyway. Welcome! and Good Luck!

Hi! Pleased to meet you! I do need to work on my protein a bit more but being a vegetarian who can't eat nuts is quite tricky! Life always seems to get in the way at some point, but doing something about it is the first step. Thanks for the advice and good luck to you too!
