Lifters who run/runners who lift?

I've been on here for over two years and I noticed most people I know either do one or the other, but few do both. Am I a special person? I mean, I hit the gym five mornings per week and I run as many times. I like both equally. So, anyone is into both?

Add me if you are!

I will be doing both, I am doing my elliptical 6-7 days a week now because of winter, I run when it gets warmer. I am about to start lifting again next week.

When I lost 150 pounds in days gone by, I did both. Lifted M W F and ran all 5 days. Well, ran T Th and did a light run/jog on M W F. I like both.

I do both, but I enjoy lifting more than running currently.

I do both, I run a 5k everynight, and i lift light weights everyday as well. Some days i take off of lifting but i dont have a set schedule, its just how i'm feeling. But running i must do everyday, i cant stop that.

Lots of people cutting do both. A lot of people trying to bulk will cut out the cardio simply because they're having trouble eating enough as it is without the extra calorie burn. I do both though, but my cardio switches off between running, cycling, and some circuit stuff.

i was into both, but then i wanted to really excel in lifting and take it to another level, so i stopped running and focused on lifting. They are two different sports and its possible to do both, but the lifting i do doesn't work with steady state cardio like running because something about the way muscles train and the nutrition, etc. Some day i might reduce my lifting and train for a marathon.

I do both. I'm heading out to run on my lunch hour, then will stop by the gym for SL5x5 on my way home from work.

I was a runner who lifted, then it got cold and dark when I get home from work so now I'm a lifter who does cardio, until it gets warmer and lighter then I'll be a lifter who runs until it gets real nice outside and I'll be a runner who lifts. And the years keep rolling by.

I do both as well. Alternating everyday. I love lifting, and the tone muscle I get in return. Running is my relaxing exercise tho. :-)
