Been going slimming world for 3 weeks now and although I am sticking to the free food I am also trying to stick to 1000/1200 calories a day. I have about 28lb to lose. So can't believe how slow it's going. Has anyone else had this problem

How fast are you expecting it to go? 1-2lbs a week is about the most you can expect to lose on average.

Weight loss for most people is a lot slower than they hope it to be. 3 weeks in isn't too long of a time to see what your rate is yet, and although it may seem like it to you, 28 lbs is not THAT much to lose. My goal is about 25 lbs, and I will be happy with anything from half a lb per week to 1 lb per week. It will be (and has been) slow going, but I will eventually get there. Took me a long time to make peace with that, and I seem to be getting into the rhythm now. We all wish we could be done in a month or two, but unfortunately that isn't how this works.

Yep - 1 to 2lbs week max. You didn't put on all that weight overnight. Likewise you're not going to lose it overnight either!

I started Slimming world 3 weeks ago. The first week I lost 1/2lb the second we'd also lost 1/2lb third week gained a lb this was with me sticking to plan. Although if I enter all foods allowed to be consumed in one day the calories are quite high, way over 1000 which is more or less what I try to stick to I'm quite lazy when it comes to exercise.

1000 calories is really low even for someone that doesn't exercise. The minimum is 1200 for a sedentary woman. Whom is short or/and elderly.

LoL maybe that the problem I'm to short but not to old. The 1000 calories is a short term thing, I tend to go over more towards 1500 anyway. But your comment did make me laugh. Thanx all advice is so so welcome. Good luck with your journey.
