You can't permanently mold adipose fatty tissue neither can you remove it by squishing it in what is really just a corset.

Nobody has got their ideal body by using one, if they say they have, they're being paid to do so. People wear one and create a temporary effect. Remove the corset, remove the temporary effect.

So, even if you use one with such rampant disregard for you health you manage to damage your peritoneal cavity, create some muscle atrophy and pinch a lateral femoral cutaneous nerve, you are doing diddly squat in regards to fat loss.

It sounds like you already know how to get your sexy bod back.

And it's not a waist trainer. Female body builders get their ideal bods with hard work and discipline. They will be the first to tell you there's no short cuts.

uhh then why do I see a lot of women utilize them all the time? I mean yes they workout all the time but with their waist trainer ! D:

    1) So their back 'adipose' doesn't show while they're in the gym & turn off any guys they're trying to impress.
    2) So they can impress people like you by showing off how "fit" they are
    3) Because somebody told them it would help mold their back fat
    4) Because somebody told them they're good as back/posture supports

Whenever I see a waist trainer thread, I think of those molds that people use to shape boiled eggs.

You are not a boiled egg, OP.

That doesn't look good. Maybe if you're wearing a dress but it's not going to train your waist to do anything. Just accept who you are and be as healthy as possible.

Any change in shape after wearing one is only temporary. A lot of the pics seen online of 'celebs' wearing them (kim kardash etc) are usually those who are already hourglass/curvy types so of course they look fabulous with their waists nipped in further ... but in the end it's a fashion thing, and nothing else. You're basically just squeezing your middle with elastic. Nothing is being 'trained'.

Nothing wrong with using good foundation undies to create the illusion of a slimmer outline, or to smooth out the bumps - spanx, magic knickers etc or corsets and so on (get fitted properly) but I can't see the point of wearing any of that down the gym ...

The girls on the website you posted don't look like "bodybuilders". I see girls on Instagram with them but it's just like the detox teas and teeth whitening stuff - they're just getting paid to say they use it. I don't think there is a healthy permanent solution other than what you're already doing.

Cool thanks girly! & no not the girls on the website! Jeesh no, lol. More like Linda Durbesson http://lindadurbesson.com/ she uses one but someone mentioned they get paid to feature them so that might just be it!

A waist trainer is basically a corset that has been marketed to women as a fitness accessory. There are reasons why women don't wear corsets anymore... they aren't safe or practical.

A version of a waist trainer has been around for centuries. They use to be called corsets. And when worn everyday, and tightened everyday or every few days, they can cause permanent changes.

But from my understand can be very painful and deadly especially if taken to extremes. I will admit that I own several corsets and slimmers. I wear a slimmer almost every weekday, just to help smooth things out, but I'm not expecting to change anything. As far as my corsets, they do temporarily change my appearance but I maybe wear them 4 times a year for a special occasion.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is not true.
There are no gimmicks, oral or physical that can get you into better shape.
Hard work, perseverance and genetics are the only way.

...................and, it is just going to push it somewhere else, and they can't be comfortable.
The last place I would want to feel squeezed and compressed is at the gym, but that is just me.

First- Let me say that I LOVE a good corset. A good corset hugs my curves, shapes my body, and makes me feel sexy and fun. I also had lower back surgery and when I properly cinch up, it takes all the pressure off those poor little spine bones that don't have any disc between them.

DO- wear one for fun or if you want a special look for a night out. And you'll notice if you wear it for a couple hours that when you take it off, your body will hold the shape for maybe 20-30 minutes before 'relaxing' back into a more natural position, (long enough to 'get it on' with your date without him noticing that you're all midrange flab. ;) )

DON'T- expect it to 'reshape your body' unless you wear it constantly and cinched too tightly for literally months on end, doing extreme damage to your body in the process, not to mention dangerously weakening your core muscles (The corset holds your middle up so your stomach and back muscles don't have to work at all.)

The women in those ads are, as others mentioned, selling a product, and one that doesn't work the way they're promoting it. "Safe" corsetry is about long term fitness to keep your core strong and fit, and using corsets to enhance shape on demand for brief periods,

As a trained medical professional, I would say avoid it, but it seems you have found every reason to get one as noted by you rebuking all logical answers against them. After you use yours for 4-6 weeks, do not wear for a week then come back and let us know how it is working for you.

It's a corset. They are corsets. They do nothing more magical than a corset does. Well, except they are making some people very rich for spinning a very old piece of fashion clothing as something it is not with very shrewd marketing tactics.

Granted, though, corsets do not make you feel like two pounds of sausage stuffed into a one pound casing like spanx and other modern "foundation wear" does. In fact, corsets can make you fell pretty/sexy/pretty sexy in a way some piece of Maidenform synthetic lycra/spandex shapewear in solid black or nude is never going to.

Although, I must admit I wouldn't mind owning a fainting couch. When are those coming back into style?

Why does a corset feel better than something like Spanx? I've never worn a corset but have worn Spanx-like garments and haven't found them to be uncomfortable, but I'm curious as to why a corset would be more comfortable. Aren't they stiffer? That seems like they would be less comfortable.

Yeah, I like my Spanx. If they make you feel like a sausage, I think you may have the wrong size. For me, it just smooths out the problem areas (which for me are love handles and a bit of a belly).

Corsets move organs around with too much use/ too tight of a fit, a proper waist trainer shouldn't. They are designed to make you sweat a lot more in that particular area and in theory help you lose the weight there. Not sure if they actually work though, I haven't tried one myself. If they weren't so expensive I would!
