VivoSmart calorie calculation

My summary says I have a net of -222 calories because of the 1213 exercise calories calculated by my VivoSmart. I did 45 minutes of cardio and walked around 13k steps today. I don't eat many of the exercise calories back because I don't believe these numbers. Does anyone know if the exercise calorie calculations for VivoSmart are correct? Also, I need more MyFitnessPal friends so please add me if you like.

I have been wondering this same thing myself. The Garmin app shows way more extra calories than MFP gives me credit for. Either way I try not to eat back the calories but would like to know which one I should go by to calculate calories in calories out. It is very confusing.
Also, if I am always wearing the VivoSmart do I just use that to log my exercise or should I also note on MFP if I am on the treadmill? That seems to give me way more "credited" calories.0
