There is an epidemic flooding our college campuses, beaches, and gyms. ILS or Invisible Lat Syndrome.
What is Invisible Lat Syndrome (ILS)?
Invisible Lat Syndrome is a stance that some males take in order to swell their chest in an attempt at making non existing muscle seem present. Generally, the arms are lifted away from the body as if huge lat muscles were pushing them away.
(webmd.com,2011)
What causes ILS?
The exact cause of ILS is not known. One theory suggests the disorder involves a problem with certain neurotransmitters in the brain. Neurotransmitters are chemicals that help nerve cells in the brain send messages to each other. The fact that ILS often occurs in people with other mental health issues further supports a biological basis for the disorder. (cdc.gov,2012).
Medical Doctors don't know what causes ILS. Sometimes it begins after an illness like the flu, but there is no proof of any connection. It's likely that a number of factors or triggers come together to cause ILS. Many researchers believe certain clothing may be linked to ILS. Incorrectly sized t-shirts, Tap-out apparel and any other apparel designed with the purpose of making it clear to the world. "I'm a bad-*kitten*" could potentially cause or exasperate already present ILS. (webmd.com,2011)
What are the symptoms?
Symptoms of ILS include but are not limited to: Increased aggression, increased irritability and egomania. Sufferers of ILS often feel a need to make strangers aware of their presence. Loud, sometimes obnoxious noises are often reported from bystanders. (webmd.com,2011)
Treatment of ILS.
There are currently no known treatments of ILS. If a friend or significant other is showing symptoms of ILS it is recommended you distance yourself immediately, as to not look like you associate with tools.

@OP,
- go to your local library. ask somebody where it is or to help you find it on a map.
- sign up for a library card
- ask the librarian (she's the nice older lady at the counter) to help you find a book
- check out this book:
- take it home and find somebody to read it to you.0 -
