I'm 5'2 and fluctuate in the 160's. My goal is to get to 135 by May or June. I need all the support I can get!

What's with the deadline? Why not just get to 135 in a steady, safe, and sustainable manner, and it takes however long it takes?

You're not going to lose it fast and healthy with that little to lose.

Who said deadline? The OP said "goal" which sounds more like "if I shoot for the stars and hit the moon, I'll still be happy".

Goals can keep you motivated and focused.

    Good luck mollybird523 :-)

30lbs in 5 months is possible, but not necessarily healthy. You should only lose 2lbs a week; if you want to lose it by 'June', you have roughly 19 weeks- at 2 lbs a week that will give you a 38lb loss, however your rate of loss will slow down the closer you get to your goal.

However, setting yourself a time restrictive goal can sometimes be counter productive- what happens if you get to June and you're not 135? Will you think 'amazing, I've lost some weight' or will you actually be thinking 'I've failed and may as well give up'?

Setting yourself a goal weight is a great way to motivate yourself, but it may be best to avoid specific dates. It will happen when it happens.

    TIA.

IMO this is a "know yourself" kind of thing. Hit my first goal/date. Looking to be on target for the second one.

For me having a date helps, as in, "Yeah I could eat that, I could go over on my calories today, but if I do that could keep me from hitting my goal."
