Is getting a 'pump' important at all?

Up until recently the veins in my left arm would really stand out during a workout, after and just generally randomly at any time of the day. Not so much in my right arm though. But since I increased cardio last week from about zero minutes to 15-30 minutes a day it seems to have stopped doing that completely now. Can anyone explain the science behind this to me please and if it means I'm doing something wrong?

It's an inflammatory response - cardio increases chronic response therefore reducing acute response. It's normal and not an issue.0
