Setting goal in MFP, and tracking workouts

So a few questions.

Looking to lose 30-45 lbs, without losing the muscle I've built over the last year. Interim goal is 30, 45lbs is in the middle of a healthy BMI.

I am "hoping" to work out 5xs a week for 35 min, and have done well so far. In MFP should I put those 5 workouts in my settings on the front end, or should I just record them when they happen and eat the calories then? I just added them in, and it upped me to 1400 calories to lose 1 lb a week, before it was at 1200 calories.

What is the difference between adding your "planned" workouts to your goal settings vs just documenting your workouts?

The follow-up question.... how do you record a workout in MFP that is body weight exercises, interspersed with aerobic sprints. What about weight circuits?
