    I try to eat the majority of my foods from nutrient dense sources while gaining or losing weight. If you find it hard to eat enough calories than you can add in things that are high calorie but aren't filling like juice or bread. Also, make sure to eat the foods you like eating. Fats are easy calories, but if you're weight training, then it's better to get those extra calories from carbs, which will help with your strength.
