Hiya!
I'm 6'0" and 121kg, and I'm looking to become fitter and stronger. Ideally, I'd like to be able to support my own body weight (e.g. do a full pullup and pushup) -- whatever that may be. I think to be able to do that I would need to lose a bunch of weight, but strength and health is my number one focus. If I lose weight, cool. If I don't, well, I'd better be making a lot of muscle to support myself. However, I've already lost 16kg from my highest weight, with 10 of those kgs being lost in the past 2 months.
I'm also looking to solidify healthy habits -- like listening to my body when I am hungry or full, or when I need a rest day, or when I need a cardio/strength training day. All my life I have had a really *kitten* relationship with food so I can never tell if I'm full or hungry. I'm tracking my food intake on MFP to help me distinguish when I am full, or hungry, or emotionally hungry.
I'm also weighing myself daily, so I can train myself to be okay with the daily fluctuation and plateaus, and that my health and worth isn't necessarily directly related to what a weigh on a particular morning. I'm trying to value all different ways that I can measure progress -- fitting into clothes I couldn't before, doing an exercise I couldn't do before, increasing my lifts, enduring longer in cardio, increasing the level of impact I can do, noticing a new muscle, or more frequently stopping myself eating before I felt bloated.
I'm looking for friends to connect with on here for inspiration and motivation. If anything I said resonates with you, add me! Please!
