My goal is 1510. But it seems that the tracker at the top of my food diary is subtracting my exercise calories too. Why is this?

Because MFP calculates your calorie needs based on your stats (weight, height, gender, age) and every-day activity level (sedentary, lightly active, etc.), which should take into account any activity required for your job, child-rearing, etc., but not what is typically considered "exercise." MFP gives you a calorie goal that already includes a deficit (if your goal is to lose weight). When you log exercise, that is an energy expenditure MFP did not consider when it gave you your daily goal, so to maintain the same deficit amount, in theory, MFP adds the exercise calories to your consumption goal for the day. Most people believe MFP overestimates the calorie burns from exercise and thus only eat 50% to 75% of the calories earned from exercise.0
